Default Do you take advantage of n00bs?

In other words, do you buy item that are worth fortunes for 150 cause they don't know what they're selling? Do you sell large amounts of lodestones for princely sums? Do you just not tell them what things are worth, in order to feed your need for dye?

I do sometimes, if the deal's really good, do you?

Uh... nooooooo...

(I've sold a 'super rare gold dye' for 2k. I bought the orange, yellow and silver dye for 700 gold combined.)

Generally too lazy to sell things. Figure by the time I sell it, I could have made the same amount killing and gaining my xp. (However, I did find one sweet bow that might be put up on the market...)

I'm not saying I completely take them for all they're worth, as anything REALLY good (like when I sold my vial of black dye to pay for both a bow and all the new leather armor) goes through a trader.

I don't do ridiculous things like that, but if they offer a low selling price, I'll take it. Gotta stay outfitted somehow...

I think most of the older players are like that.

If they're cool, (such as someone who actually went and got list on dyes last night) I won't do anything to them, or rip them off or anything. If they're too lazy to check list, so be it. Their folly is on their heads.

Folly schmolly. Some people are just more interested in selling something quickly than getting the most possible gold.

One of my friends sold black dye to a merchant pre-searing. Either that or recycled it...

Don't remember but he was pissed after I told him it is going for 1k in post searing. He was a newbie at the time.

I don't deal outside of my Guild much... I usually sell (or give away) my valuables to my Guild... Though on the whole, if a newbie seems intelligent and good-natured, I won't rip them off (or let anyone else rip them off). If they're unintelligent, or a wannabe "gangsta", it's open season... hehehe.

I tend to sell of Fur Squares for 500 gold.

Because it's a nice round number, and it's more than I can get from a vendor. Plus: I can't use the stuff, why not let someone else?

I'm happy cause I got 500 gold for doing nothing, they're happy because they got a fur square for uber-cheap. Good deal all around.

How do you even get fur? Heh, I have 2 of it, but forgot how I got it.

I won't rip them off, but I'll ask them what they want for it, and if it's very low, I'll buy it without telling them.

I usually treat newbs good, cut them deals and such.

But then, I was in post searing ascalon. Someone asked Monks could use Hammers, and got the reply of "SHUT UP NOOB YOUD BE A CRAPPY ASS HEALER ID NEVER PARTY WITH YOU!" *not exactly the quote, but almost the same thing.*

Then the guy who was just talking shit was asking for a sword better than what he had.

Needless to say, I walked out of there with $600 and he got a 8 - 13 +10 damage while hexed. (I convinced him everyone used hexes in the arena. )

I usually ignore the n00bs, though I'll keep an eye out for any post-searing deals they're offering. As for newbs, I have helped them out before.

Seems to be my general thing.

Newbie-drag them around, help the out, smack a bad thing or two with them.

n00b-Oh, that dye sells for 1000? and you'll let it go for 150? Deal.

Default its how i got my guild cape......

yes, i take advantage of them... but not overtly

ill teach them how to whisper, so i keep my deals silent to the rest of the town

offer low, buy low, sell high

i spent 4 hours jumping towns doing nothing but buying and selling dyes pre-searing (and getting dyes for me in the process)

in the same town, i bought a yellow dye for 20 from one guy (whispering) then turned around and sold it for 250 10 secs after the deal was done.

and pre-searing is still the best place to buy black dyes, period...

when ive gotten black dyes for 50 gold.... that beats spending 700-1000+ post searing any day

now, like the other person said

n00bs = bad, take advantage of them any way you can...

newbs = good, help them out, maybe get a questing buddy for the rest of the game

there is a difference between people who pay attention, and need extra info, and those who want it all without the work....

which BTW, does Black + Silver make metallic Black? I want to try it, and if it does, that will be the final color of my necro-elem but i dont want to risk either dye on such a combo if its gonna turn out dark silver or something

and... Metallic Purples on Warrior primaries and elem primaries rock!
